How to install your eSIM
Do it at home on Wi-Fi before you fly. Your plan doesn't start until you land.
One-tap install Recommended
If you're reading this on the iPhone you'll travel with.
Open your Owlway email on this iPhone
Tap “Install on iPhone”, then Continue
Label it “Owlway” and choose it for data
Scan the QR code
Open the QR on another screen (laptop or printed), then on your iPhone:
- Settings › Cellular › Add eSIM › Use QR Code.
- Scan the QR and tap Continue.
- Label the line “Owlway”.
Enter details manually
Settings › Cellular › Add eSIM › Use QR Code › Enter Details Manually
When you land
Takes 30 seconds on arrival.
- Turn on the Owlway line
- Turn on Data Roaming for Owlway only
- Keep your home line on for calls and texts
Troubleshooting
No internet after landing
Make sure the Owlway line is on and chosen for mobile data, and turn on Data Roaming for that line. Then toggle Airplane mode on and off, or restart your phone.
QR code already used
An eSIM QR can be installed only once. If you removed the eSIM or the install failed halfway, contact us and we will help.
Phone says “Cannot add plan”
Check that your phone supports eSIM and is carrier-unlocked, that you are on Wi-Fi, and that you are not installing the same QR twice. Restart and try again.
Slow speeds
Move to an open area or restart your phone. Unlimited plans slow down after the daily full-speed allowance; speeds return to normal the next day.
Check if your phone supports eSIM
Dial *#06#. If you see an EID, your phone supports eSIM. It must also be carrier-unlocked.
